How do I report an item taken from my wallet?

Updated September 21, 2026

  1. Secure what is left first — move assets to a new wallet and revoke approvals.
  2. Report each item: on the item page choose Report → Taken from my wallet, or email trust@unvault.com. Include the network, contract address, and token ID; the transaction hash of the unauthorised transfer; what happened; and confirmation that you did not sign or authorise the transfer.
  3. Prove control: sign the message we send you from the affected wallet (or, if the key is unusable, from another wallet plus evidence linking you to the affected one).
  4. We apply the Reported label and stop the item trading on Unvault, normally within one business day.
  5. Send a police report (or crime-reference confirmation, or a notarised sworn statement where police reports are not issued) within 10 days. Without it the label is removed.

The label stays while the report is open; we ask you to reconfirm every 180 days. Full rules: Disputed Items Policy. Unvault cannot recover the item — only the current holder, or a court with power over that holder, can return it.
